Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and podiums weighing up to 80 lbs through crowded rooms
- capability to grasp, lift, carry, or push goods on hand carts or trucks weighing up to 100 lbs
- physical stamina for continuous activity including twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
- availability to work varied shifts as per operational demands
- adherence to company appearance standards
- willingness to follow safety, security, and emergency procedures
- ability to communicate effectively with supervisors
- hold a valid Food Handler Card
- basic English proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- understand various types of equipment and setup styles for meeting rooms, such as round and schoolroom table styles
- basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe application of products and processes
- ability to remember and promote a variety of menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Keep storage rooms maintained and organized
- maintain back hall by breaking down dirty dishes and bringing them to the dish room
- pick up linen and put away
- set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, including transporting heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, and dance floors
- break down all meeting rooms after events and return equipment to storage
- maintain cleaning schedules for meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure presentability
- supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water
- communicate with supervisors throughout shifts regarding work progress
- perform general cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products to meet health standards
- address special guest requests or unexpected spills
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security rules
- know and follow department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property damage to supervisor or manager
- maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to team member handbook
- assist other banquet personnel when needed
- perform other duties as required by supervisor or manager
