Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Flexibility to work shift assignments including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle guest requests and related situations professionally and courteously
  • Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp
  • Previous experience in banquet service or food handling preferred
  • Must maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an ABC liquor permit
  • Compliance with all food and beverage policies and state liquor laws
  • Ability to maintain positive relations with guests and coworkers
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must speak, understand English
  • Communicate (hear, speak, read, and legibly write in English) with and promote positive co-worker and guest interactions
  • Maintain professionalism at all times while working with other employees, departments and guests
  • Shift assignments may be irregular, and will cover days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle all types of guest related situations
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp
  • Prior experience in banquet serving or group food handling preferred
  • Personable customer service attitude with organizational ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must present a professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Must be able to obtain an ABC liquor permit
  • Responsible for keeping all licenses and permits current

Job Duties

  • Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion according to Banquet Event Order
  • Observes diners to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal is completed
  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence are paramount
  • Must adhere to Blue Chip Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Serves all guests according to established standards of quality
  • Adheres to food and beverage policies and procedures and state liquor laws
  • Relays all guest compliment/complaints to appropriate supervisor
  • Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
  • Performs all relative miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor/manager
