Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • 1 year experience as a restaurant or banquet food server preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Availability during peak operating times, e.g., weekends, holidays and special events

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages

  • Availability during peak operating times, e.g., weekends, holidays and special events
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Knowledge of various food service styles, e.g., French service, Russian service, Family style service, Butler style service
  • Compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Efficiently complete pre-function side work
  • Greet guests as they arrive and assist with seating at tables
  • Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with function requirements
  • Clear each course following procedures
  • Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • Remove all tabletop items, linen and equipment from the function room as designated by function requirements
