Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
  • basic English language communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • adherence to uniform and grooming standards
  • ability to stand and move continuously during shifts
  • willingness to attend training sessions
  • physical stamina and strength

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in banquet or food service roles advantageous
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • strong customer service skills
  • knowledge of banquet event operations
  • ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and carrying heavy trays
  • punctuality and reliability
  • team-oriented mindset

Job Duties

  • Resolve guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest
  • respond promptly to any guest request for service
  • arrive at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule
  • abide by established uniform guidelines
  • maintain a can-do and guests first attitude at all times
  • work as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations
  • attend scheduled training sessions within the hotel as dictated by the Hilton brand and hotel management
  • serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to Hilton's high standards of quality
  • have knowledge of event menu items and their contents
  • knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • knowledge of preparation and garnishing methods
  • set up, maintain and break down banquet rooms
  • have basic English language communication skills
  • ability to carry large and heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift
