Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
ability to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
basic English language communication skills
availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
adherence to uniform and grooming standards
ability to stand and move continuously during shifts
willingness to attend training sessions
physical stamina and strength

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in banquet or food service roles advantageous
ability to communicate effectively in English
strong customer service skills
knowledge of banquet event operations
ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and carrying heavy trays
punctuality and reliability
team-oriented mindset

Job Duties

Resolve guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest
respond promptly to any guest request for service
arrive at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule
abide by established uniform guidelines
maintain a can-do and guests first attitude at all times
work as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations
attend scheduled training sessions within the hotel as dictated by the Hilton brand and hotel management
serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to Hilton's high standards of quality
have knowledge of event menu items and their contents
knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
knowledge of preparation and garnishing methods
set up, maintain and break down banquet rooms
have basic English language communication skills
ability to carry large and heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift
