Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant work experience preferred
- Obtain TABC Certification and Food Handler’s Certificate within 30 days if not already certified
- Ability to carry heavy trays and lift 30 pounds frequently
- Minimum age eighteen to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Comfortable working flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Accessible personal device for communication
- Physical ability to bend, stretch, and reach
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- Current TABC Certification and Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtainable within 30 days of hire
- Ability to carry at least eight entrees per tray and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds often
- Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks
Job Duties
- Ability to read and understand banquet event orders, pull sheets, and other event information
- Provide fine dining-level food and beverage service to guests consistent with company standards
- Initiate and maintain friendly, professional contact with guests to anticipate and meet needs
- Set up and maintain food and beverage stations throughout the venue
- Maintain event and front-of-house areas in a tidy, organized manner
- Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
- Work independently during slower times
- Perform safe work practices to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Exhibit strong social skills working with staff and patrons
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Be detail-oriented and ensure work accuracy and completeness
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a customer-focused, positive, professional attitude
- Read and communicate effectively in English
- Apply basic arithmetic skills as needed
- Stand for extended periods
- Bend, stretch, twist, or reach as required
- Be punctual with reliable transportation
- Respond effectively to customer inquiries and complaints
- Use a personal device for schedule communication
