Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Work Permit
- Valid driver's license
- Washington State Food Handlers Card obtained within 14 days from date of hire
- Hepatitis A vaccination required by date of hire
- Mandatory Alcohol Service Training (Washington State Liquor Control Board Permit) obtained within 60 days from date of hire
- Availability and willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Compliance with drug testing and background investigation policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and employees
- Skilled in handling workplace problems by anticipating and solving issues
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food and wine for training service
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Experience in hospitality or banquet service preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians internal controls and Northern Quest Casino policies and procedures
- Provide constant, attentive and friendly service to all guests, greet guests in appropriate manner
- Serve beverages according to Mandatory Alcohol Service Training (MAST) guidelines
- Assist banquet team members to ensure superior guest service
- Review the client's needs or special requests to deliver a flawless performance while maintaining high standards
- Complete all side work to maintain a clean and neat work area
- Correctly perform all necessary paperwork at shifts end
- Relay any complaints, problems or positive remarks to shift supervisor
- Attend all training meetings
- Keep storage areas clean and organized
- Ensure equipment is cleaned properly and stored securely
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Execute multiple tasks simultaneously while staying focused
- Coordinate special arrangements and needs with appropriate departments
- Possess knowledge of food and wine for training service
- Help organize clearing stations and Back of House
- Work with the Culinary Team to set buffet tables and food displays
- Inspect the overall ambiance of the room to meet client needs
- Ensure tables are set according to casino standards and client requirements
- Meet and greet clients in absence of a supervisor
- Follow casino procedures for room control regarding guest conduct and alcohol use
