Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- One year experience as a restaurant or banquet food server
- Valid food handling certificate
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Ability to provide legible communication
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and organize
- Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly
- Understanding guest service needs
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
- Physical ability to transport 25 to 50 pounds
- Ability to endure various physical movements and remain in stationary positions for extended periods
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications

- Certification in liquor, wine, and food service
- Previous culinary training
- Knowledge of room set-up styles
- Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish
- Certification in alcoholic awareness programs
- Certification in CPR
- Ability to suggestively sell
- Previous guest relations training
Job Duties
- Set up assigned tables according to hotel specifications and group requirements
- Retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guest tables courteously and efficiently
- Serve food orders to guest tables ensuring high service standards
- Take beverage orders and collect payments where specified
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment
- Work cohesively with team members and assist in all banquet service tasks
- Follow all safety and food handling procedures diligently
