Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant personality and demeanor throughout the function
  • provide food service for banquet events in accordance with hotel and banquet standards
  • setup action stations, cook (ie: simmer, brown, saute), serve patrons at action stations in accordance with head chef plate presentation and garnishes
  • setup banquet buffet displays both hot and cold in allotted time
  • maintain food levels at banquet buffet displays
  • engage guests at banquet events to determine food allergies, preferences, and dietary needs and report to proper banquet captains
  • perform proper coffee brewing and tea brewing techniques
  • be familiar with seating positions for plated events and proper serving techniques for synchronized food placement
  • complete all daily side duties, post function clean up, organization, and deep cleaning of work areas
  • report to all necessary pre shift and post shift meetings with banquet leadership
  • report to banquet leadership for inspection of completed work before leaving
  • store all banquet and hotel equipment in an orderly and clean fashion according to leadership instructions
