Job Requirements

  • One year prior food service experience preferably in banquets
  • Must be available for early morning, late night, double, occasional triple and split shifts, weekends, holidays and long hours
  • Ability to stand, walk, talk or hear regularly
  • Ability to occasionally use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Must be able to engage guests and communicate effectively

  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • Strong communication skills for training, safety, and guest interaction

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts
  • Availability for various shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant personality and demeanor throughout the function
  • Provide food service for banquet events in accordance with Hotel and Banquet standards
  • Setup action stations, cook and serve patrons at action stations following head chef presentation and garnishes
  • Setup banquet buffet displays both hot and cold within allotted time
  • Maintain food levels at banquet displays
  • Engage guests at banquet events to determine allergies, preferences, and dietary needs and report to Banquet captain
  • Brew coffee and tea using proper techniques
  • Demonstrate proper seating positions and serving techniques during plated events
  • Complete daily side duties, post function cleanup, and deep cleaning of work areas
  • Attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings with banquet leadership
  • Inspect completed work responsibilities with banquet leadership before leaving
  • Store banquet and hotel equipment orderly and clean as per management instructions
  • Deliver passionate and engaging service, following the GUEST service model
  • Build solid relationships with colleagues, respecting and supporting teamwork
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the hotel to assist operations
