Job Requirements
- Two to three years experience in fine dining food service establishment
- Must be at least 21 years of age or meet state alcohol control laws
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Knowledge and ability to maintain state and federal health code standards
- Ability to understand and comply with safety precautions in the use of chemicals
- Ability to maintain good relations with staff and guests
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, to make decisions without supervision and to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve dates, names, times, and other data
- Ability to work under pressure and complete assignments on time when confronted with frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual situations
- Ability to converse calmly with irate guests, co-workers, and superiors in intense emotional situations
- Ability to add and subtract five-digit numbers
- Ability to perform mathematical operations with units of measure including dollars and cents
- Full COVID vaccination and booster required

- Basic math skills including adding and subtracting five-digit numbers and handling monetary units
- Preferred knowledge of French and Russian service and food and wine presentation
- Preferred ability to set up and disassemble linens, tables, and tableware to hotel standards
Job Duties
- Pick up and serve food and beverages in the manner prescribed by hotel standards
- Provide service throughout different events including changing silver, glassware and clearing/cleaning tables
- Complete assigned side work such as folding napkins, cleaning and filling condiments, and polishing silverware and glassware before service
- Maintain and monitor freshness of products served including butter, milk, and coffee
- Maintain state and federal health code standards
- Prepare and arrange work area
- Ensure all tables and chairs are in good repair and properly arranged for specific functions
- Inspect all equipment and report any problems, following up to ensure resolution
- Ensure tables are set to specific standards
- Break down area at end of function
- Greet all guests upon arrival and welcome repeat guests by name
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of workstation including replenishing silverware and linen
- Store all banquet equipment and supplies properly
- Interact courteously and professionally with guests and staff
- Attend to guest requests or complaints and escalate when necessary
- Handle banquet equipment carefully to avoid breakage
- Assist in seating guests when necessary
- Transport dirty dishes to dishwasher area
- Participate in departmental and hotel-wide meetings
