Job Duties

  • Review banquet event orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted
  • Prepare rooms for use, adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed before guests arrive
  • Communicate with lead event staff regarding any special needs and assist in ensuring that events are on time
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all banquet areas
  • Communicate areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to the Events Manager
  • Ensure meeting rooms are re-set for the next event if within one day of the previous event
  • Keep inventory of all banquet equipment and ensure it is stored properly
  • Provide guests with a lasting positive experience
  • Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
  • Deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and properly open and pour wine at tableside
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
  • Greet all guests warmly
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Understand and communicate products and services available at the hotel
