Job Duties
- Review banquet event orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted
- Prepare rooms for use, adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed before guests arrive
- Communicate with lead event staff regarding any special needs and assist in ensuring that events are on time
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all banquet areas
- Communicate areas of need, problems, and concerns from guests to the Events Manager
- Ensure meeting rooms are re-set for the next event if within one day of the previous event
- Keep inventory of all banquet equipment and ensure it is stored properly
- Provide guests with a lasting positive experience
- Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
- Deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and properly open and pour wine at tableside
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
- Greet all guests warmly
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Understand and communicate products and services available at the hotel
