Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous waitstaff experience
- knowledge of catering practices preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- excellent oral communication and listening skills
- ability to follow directions
- ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- reliable transportation required

Job Duties
- Maintain positive and professional attitude
- gather menu information for each function served to provide signage and explanations to guests
- be aware of the details on the Banquet Event order including special diets
- set up for events by placing tablecloths, place settings, and other table items, and setting up buffet when requested
- carry plates of food on trays and serve guests
- complete the inspection of meeting rooms prior to guest arrival ensuring client specifications have been met
- resolve guest complaints within scope of authority or refer to upper management
- notify supervisor and/or security of unusual events or missing items
- maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
- maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
- communicate guest needs and problems to Banquet Supervisor
- clean up venue after event and assist with closeout
- perform basic cleaning tasks as needed
- greet guests warmly
- adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- provide quick service for last minute changes
- take lead position for specific functions
- obtain Banquet Event Orders
- assist with quarterly inventory and staff training
- participate in development and diversity trainings and organizational review processes
- submit weekly timesheets
- perform other duties as assigned
