Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
six months of service experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
TIPS responsible alcohol service certification or equivalent or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date
valid ServSafe Food Handler card or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date
ability to work at both CIA California Campus locations
ability to stand and work for extended periods
ability to bend, stoop, or reach as needed
ability to frequently lift and carry 30 pounds
ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds with assistance
ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures including above 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Job Duties

Assist guests by anticipating their needs
function as bartender at events
use standardized CIA recipes for all items served from the bar
maintain a strong food and beverage knowledge base to provide excellent guest service
receive orders in a professional manner according to hospitality standards
maintain control and timing throughout service stations
serve orders meeting CIA service standards
conduct physical inventory of storage areas and order supplies as needed
maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
complete setup and breakdown of side work to contribute to an organized work environment
ensure tables are maintained during dining experiences according to standards
perform any other duties as assigned
