Job Requirements

- Previous experience in banquet or food and beverage service
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have excellent customer service skills

Job Duties
- Establishes a warm welcome with a smile and professional atmosphere for guests by following F&B policies and standard operating procedures
- Works as part of a team to setup, serve and breakdown banquet events using correct F&B techniques including serving food from the left with the left hand and clearing from the right
- Competent in executing different banquet functions including meetings, tastings, receptions, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner
- Actively responds to the manager’s requests regarding special guests or last-minute details of an event
- Ensures the room is completely set 30 minutes prior to the start of a function
- Assists in the seating of guests to their tables, including pulling out chairs
- Provides immediate attention to guests upon seating and remains at each station providing attentive service
- Takes appropriate food orders in a specific manner at each station
- Refills all beverages served with and after the meal as requested or instructed
- Uses props and appropriate linens to accent food displays
- Retrieves and stores props appropriately upon completion of use
- Clears soiled glasses, flatware and chinaware and racks them into appropriate bins in pantries
- Completes side work assigned at the end of every shift
- Breaks down soiled flatware, chinaware and glassware into appropriate racks or containers
- Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints promptly
- Strives to improve skills to execute an event without supervision in emergencies
