Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and enthusiastically
- Must be organized and able to think and act quickly under pressure
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift moderate weights
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of food safety standards

Job Duties
- Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times
- Make members feel appreciated through server's actions
- Work as a team with all Quivira Inc's personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
- Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Quivira Inc's standards at all times
- Be attentive and offer assistance before the guest has to ask for it
- Anticipate guest's needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink
- Learn guests' names, occupations and favorite drinks to personalize service
- Know how to read and interpret the Banquet Event Order for room setup
- Set up banquet function table linens, china, silverware, glassware and centerpieces
- Serve all food and beverages to banquet guests
- Clear away all dishes and linens after banquet service
- Ensure proper storage of equipment and perishable foods
- Prepare for future banquets by folding napkins and filling condiments
- Communicate with Banquet Manager regarding equipment repair or safety issues
- Perform other duties as directed
