Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in banquet or food service preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow sanitary and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area
  • relay food and beverage orders
  • perform pre and post shift side work such as setup of condiments
  • properly store all reusable goods
  • clear tables after service and remove trays of dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen for cleaning
  • maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices
  • anticipate guests' needs and exceed customer service expectations
  • maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person
  • respond to guest inquiries and special requests promptly and professionally
  • notify supervisor of guest complaints or unusual situations
  • respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns
  • present in professional appearance and mannerisms
  • perform other duties as assigned which may include assisting with setup and breakdown of function spaces and plating of meals
