Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Current ServeSafe certification
- Ability to follow directions and perform duties effectively
- Minimum 2 years server experience
- Ability to work long hours standing and move around the facility
- Ability to lift 25 pounds to waist level
- Good communication skills
- Positive work ethic
- Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current ServeSafe certification
- At least 2 years of serving experience
- Ability to produce high quality food service in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and customer service oriented
- Strong knowledge of sanitary practices
- Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards
Job Duties
- Follow through with the proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet events
- Set up tables and chairs and inspect linen, silver, and china prior to use
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism
- Maintain all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, safe environment
- Review Banquet Event Orders at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted
- Communicate with lead catering staff regarding special needs and ensure events are on time
- Greet guests warmly and deliver food and beverages including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
- Understand and communicate products and services available at the convention center
