Job Requirements
- minimum 1 year banquet or fine dining serving experience
- previous experience with standard table sets and serving etiquette
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- ability to work cohesively with co-workers
- mathematical and cash handling skills
- familiarity with banquet event orders, checks, and room sets
- clear and quick decision-making skills
- organizational skills
- ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- experience handling beverages
- Star Certified
- Food Handler Certified
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- ability to carry a banquet serving tray overhead or on shoulder
Job Qualifications
- minimum 1 year banquet or fine dining serving experience
- banquet experience strongly preferred
- previous experience with standard table sets and serving etiquette required
- ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers
- ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside of department
- ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations and cash handling experience
- familiarity with BEOs, banquet checks, and banquet room sets
- ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions
- ability to prioritize, organize and follow up
- ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
- experience in handling beverages
- must be Star Certified
- must be Food Handler Certified
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- perform all banquet side work as designated by the banquet captain and/or banquet managers
- efficiently and properly perform all service standards
- attend to all needs of guests during functions and function related duties
- report to the banquet manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of banquet equipment
- assist in the upkeep and organization of all liquor liability laws
- adhere to all liquor liability laws
- attend all designated pre-meal meetings
- follow all details as described on banquet event orders (BEOs)
- set tables to specifications
- carry trays
- provide excellent customer service experience
