Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food server experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Knowledge of wine service, table service procedures, and table etiquette strongly preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow all departmental and property policies and procedures
  • Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate
  • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff, and culinary production team
  • Take food and beverage orders, deliver prepared food promptly, and check with table periodically to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain current and accurate information regarding menu items, preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and plate presentation
  • Suggest items to guests based on expressed guest preferences
  • Resolve service issues according to established guidelines
  • Assist bus persons in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated areas in accordance with established health and safety standards
  • Deep clean restaurant equipment such as tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines as scheduled or required
  • Operate and maintain equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
  • Complete assigned side work as directed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters
