Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of high-volume banquet serving experience
- excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- strong time management skills
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to operate computer equipment necessary to perform the job
- knowledge of Opera and Micros POS is a plus
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work well with others
- ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs
- US work authorization required
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of high-volume banquet serving experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- strong time management skills including ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
- ability to operate computer equipment necessary for the job including knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
- ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs
Job Duties
- Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table
- maintain knowledge of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods
- communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests
- check completed orders with guest's original order
- coordinate food timings
- transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function according to the banquet event order
- breakdown, clean and set-up tables, buffets, and food stations
