Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- at least one-year experience as a banquet server, restaurant server with banquet facilities, or hotel server
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
- excellent customer service skills
- must be able to pass a background check including credit history report
- must be able to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit
- must be able to wear non-slip shoes
- ability to lift up to 45 pounds unaided
- ability to stand for long periods during events
- reliable transportation
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow food safety instructions, HACCP, and Food Code
- strong communication skills
- ability to operate cash register and credit card machine
- ability to maintain grooming and professional appearance

Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- experience as a server in banquets, restaurants with banquet facilities, or hotels for at least one year
- experience with upscale dining preferred
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- knowledge of Banquet Event Order (BEO) preferred
- must be able to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit
- ability to use and maintain basic food service and kitchen equipment
- ability to train others in use of basic food service and kitchen equipment
- strong communication skills and ability to read, write and understand English
- ability to interact with all levels of staff and quickly identify and resolve problems

Job Duties
- Reports to work in proper uniform according to the scheduled time
- follows instructions for each event as given by the managers and captains of Food & Beverage
- operation of card transaction machine
- assist with collecting, polishing and set up of all banquet equipment including flatware, china, glassware, serving pieces, banquet tables, chairs and linens
- serves alcohol under the ASM Global SAVOR Safe guidelines
- works in banquet catering and concessions events
- assists with beverages, bread and condiments
- assists with cleaning all banquet equipment including cleaning and filling salt and pepper, condiment, bread etc.
- creates and executes logistics of delivery of all food to functions and outlets including preparation and set up of event room and dishing area
- prepares tables with place settings and builds buffets
- attends pre-function meetings for briefing of event details and line ups
- provides friendly and courteous customer service to guests and co-workers
- remains at assigned station and performs duties as assigned for each event
- reports customer service complaints to Banquet Captain or Food & Beverage Managers
- cleans and returns all serving pieces to proper storage
- adheres to company grooming standards and policies
- follows service standards, procedures and guidelines
- delivers, sets up, services and breaks down all equipment and food and beverage assigned to functions and outlets
- performs deep cleaning as assigned
- cleans banquet wares efficiently and safely
- removes debris from banquet areas after events
- takes trash to proper receptacles and uses proper disposal methods
- sanitizes equipment as assigned
- uses counting and arithmetic skills as needed
- follows all food safety instructions, HACCP and Food Code
- works efficiently with production schedules to meet demands
- provides highest quality service to guests, staff and temporary employees
- trains and supervises employees and temporary labor when required
- assists with opening, closing and month end inventory counts
- maintains and organizes wares in proper storage
- sets up and breaks down stations and completes side work
- maintains sanitizer buckets at proper dilutions
- ensures products are wrapped, labeled and dated
- operates coffee, tea and bar equipment safely
- keeps work area clean and organized
- practices FIFO for products
- attends event briefings
- performs skilled labor as required
- leads by example with polite and can-do attitude
- follows accident and incident reporting procedures
- performs other duties as assigned
