Job Requirements

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Capacity to move objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions such as cold and hot areas
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in banquet or food service roles is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required by the role
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Setting up banquet spaces to meet function specifications
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Responding to requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
  • Delivering and serving food and beverages including meals, condiments, and accompaniments
  • Cleaning meeting spaces including removing service items, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas, and washing walls before and after events
  • Communicating constantly with others to exchange information
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
