Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food service or event catering is an advantage but not always required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to carry and balance trays of food and drinks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Stamina to work in fast-paced environments including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Arrange tables chairs linens silverware and glassware according to the event's layout
  • Decorate tables and spaces as per the event theme or guidelines
  • Serve plated meals or manage buffet stations
  • Deliver beverages including wine and cocktails promptly and correctly
  • Respond to guest needs and requests with professionalism and efficiency
  • Work with event coordinators kitchen staff and other servers to ensure seamless service
  • Communicate any guest concerns or special requests to supervisors
  • Clear tables and remove dishes after each course or at the end of service
  • Pack away decorations chairs and tables
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the banquet space before during and after the event
  • Follow health and safety guidelines including proper food handling practices
  • Adhere to alcohol-serving laws and company policies
