Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible and varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • capability to change work location as needed
  • adherence to health code requirements including uniform and personal hygiene
  • valid California Driver’s License and compliance with driving policies

Job Qualifications

  • Background in culinary arts with banquet serving skills
  • ability to create and present food attractively
  • knowledge of employee and equipment utilization in catering
  • skill in teaching, delegating tasks, monitoring and evaluating staff performance
  • effective communication skills with diverse populations
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations and meet multiple deadlines calmly
  • current California Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • writing skills to communicate procedures and recommendations
  • initiative in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing action plans
  • mathematical and accounting skills to complete forms and service records accurately

Job Duties

  • Act as a working team leader with banquet service responsibilities
  • manage catering deliveries and customer service interactions
  • provide on-the-job training and quality control in a catering environment
  • solve problems related to staff shortages, equipment, and customer complaints
  • coordinate banquet setup and event execution in collaboration with supervisors
  • assume roles such as Event Lead, Event Manager, Service Expediter, Service Opener, or Service Closer as assigned
  • perform administrative tasks including processing banquet event orders
