Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of experience in banquet or high-volume cooking
  • ability to follow detailed production timelines and plating guidelines
  • must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods
  • strong organizational skills and task orientation
  • must maintain food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • work closely with the banquet chef, executive chef, sous chefs, and fellow cooks to help deliver the best possible food and guest experience
  • support your team by preparing high-quality ingredients, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and following food safety standards
  • assist with banquet and catering event preparation, including large-batch cooking, organizing mise en place, and ensuring items are ready on schedule
  • help with plating and service for events up to 250 guests, keeping food quality and presentation consistent from the first plate to the last
  • step in to support the restaurant kitchen when banquets are not in session
  • take care of culinary equipment and kitchen spaces, keeping them clean, safe, and in good working order
  • report any issues to the chefs right away
  • communicate regularly with the chefs and your teammates to stay aligned on prep lists, timelines, and priorities
  • uphold and role model the companys principles of people, place, and character, while embodying our values that drive collaboration, intuitive service, and translocal hospitality
