Job Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Legal age to serve alcohol
- Must comply with hotel rules and regulations
- Two years of experience in fine dining, catering, or banquet service preferred
- Attendance at scheduled training sessions and meetings required
- Must be able to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds and maneuver equipment up to 200 pounds regularly
- Must be able to fulfill cleaning tasks including bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Must be detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Must be physically able to work in varying temperature conditions indoors and in extreme environments
- Must use Windows and Outlook email proficiently
Job Qualifications
- Two years fine dining, catering, or banquet service preferred
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Must be detailed oriented and have organizational skills
- Must possess basic computational abilities and be able to use Windows and Outlook email
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Effective communication skills in the primary workplace language
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to navigate necessary software and applications
- Ability to meet time standards for efficient workflow
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perceive and detect uncleanliness and stains
- Physical ability to work in a range of temperatures and exert mobility for extended periods
- Familiarity with office equipment such as computers and printers
- Ability to maneuver between tables and tight spaces
Job Duties
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Set-up, clean, and maintain meeting and event spaces including tables, chairs, risers, dance floors, lecterns, and audio-visual equipment
- Relay any problems or damaged areas to Banquet Management in a timely manner
- Help with AV questions as necessary
- Engage with guests and fellow colleagues using D.A.R.E. to Connect behaviors
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Ensure all banquet equipment and storerooms are properly maintained and cleaned
- Oversee proper control and storage of meeting room supplies such as linens, pads, pens/pencils, and table stands
- Bus tables, refill water stations, and perform dish steward duties as necessary
- Perform additional duties as assigned
