Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or banquet setting preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual kitchen tasks
  • Compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid food handling certificate as required

Job Duties

  • Prepare banquet desserts pastries and salads for catering events
  • Maintain quality and production standards on all menu items
  • Ensure food is fresh and of high quality when served to guests
  • Monitor portion control and serving temperatures during events
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to prepare product orders and production levels
  • Clean stock and restock workstations and displays
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills deep-fat fryers and ovens
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and food products properly stored
  • Maintain sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
  • Be checked out by Floor Supervisor to ensure kitchen cleanliness standards are met
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance
