Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in pastry preparation or banquet catering preferred
- Ability to operate large-volume cooking equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain portion control and minimize food waste
- Demonstrated punctuality and excellent attendance
- Valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties
- Responsible for preparing banquet desserts, pastries and salads for catering events
- Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items
- Ensure food is fresh and of high quality when served to guests
- Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products during events
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to prepare product orders and production levels
- Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens
- Ensure work areas and equipment are clean, food products properly stored, utensils clean and put away, and floors swept and mopped at the end of shift
- Be checked out by Floor Supervisor at end of shift to verify kitchen cleanliness standards
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Demonstrate excellent attendance
