Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • U.S. work authorization required
  • Ability to carry tray weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to stand and walk entire shift
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
  • Experience in banquet management or related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to maintain health and safety standards continuously

Job Qualifications

  • One year or more banquet management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Management skills desired
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Lead a small team supporting and servicing day-to-day banquet activities
  • Execute well-defined work assignments with a moderate level of control and review
  • Introduce yourself to event contact person and ensure requests are clear and properly executed
  • Supervise, train, and ensure assigned banquet staff perform according to Geronimo standards
  • Receive event requirements through detailed communication with event and sales managers
  • Ensure banquet room setup including linen and china meets standards
  • Follow health and safety practices consistently
  • Schedule front of house banquet staff
  • Attend Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings regularly
  • Complete all prep work prior to event start time
  • Oversee food and beverage service ensuring consistency
  • Set up buffets as needed to restaurant standards
  • Respond promptly to guest requests
  • Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Maintain clear communication between staff and kitchen for event success
  • Ensure cleanliness and side work completion during events
  • Check tallies of consumed beverages, food, and AV equipment
  • Ring out BEO and provide payment copy to client
  • Process payment and secure funds
  • Remove all linen, silverware, china, and trays after events
  • Respect coworkers and managers
  • Foster a fun and positive work environment
  • Complete all cleaning and side duties before leaving
