Job Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization
  • One year or more banquet management work history preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Some level of management skills desired
  • Refined verbal and written communication
  • Ability to keep up with fast-paced environment
  • Ability to carry tray weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Must be available nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Lead a small team in supporting and servicing the day-to-day banquet activities
  • Execute well-defined work assignments with moderate control and review
  • Introduce yourself to the event contact to clarify and ensure requests are properly executed
  • Supervise, train, and ensure performance of banquet staff to meet company standards
  • Receive and communicate event requirements with event and sales managers
  • Ensure banquet rooms are set up including linen and china
  • Follow health and safety practices at all times
  • Schedule front of house banquet staff
  • Regularly attend banquet event order meetings
  • Complete all preparatory work prior to event start
  • Observe food and beverage service ensuring consistency
  • Set up buffets as needed according to established standards
  • Respond promptly to any guest request
  • Maintain professional appearance, positive attitude, and mannerisms
  • Maintain clear communication between staff and kitchen for event success
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas and completion of side duties during events
  • Check tallies of consumed food, beverages, and AV equipment
  • Process payments and provide billing information to clients
  • Post-event cleanup including removal and proper placement of linen, silverware, china, and trays
  • Respect co-workers and managers
  • Maintain a fun and positive work environment
  • Ensure all work areas are cleaned and side duties are completed before leaving
