Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in banquet management or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution protocols

Job Duties

  • Manage daily banquet functions including planning, organizing, and executing various events such as breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas
  • Oversee the setup of function rooms ensuring placement of linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware according to event specifications and conducting thorough inspections
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, scheduling, counselling, evaluations, and providing recognition and rewards
  • Recruit, interview, and train banquet team members
  • Communicate event specifications, procedures, and changes with related departments including Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping
  • Oversee the breakdown of function rooms and ensure proper storage of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
