Job Duties

  • Check servers and house persons banquet event orders to ensure accuracy
  • check room setup and verify adherence to banquet event order directions
  • ensure all public areas are neat and clean
  • contact group representatives and explain communication protocols during events
  • oversee proper presentation and service of all food and beverage items according to property standards
  • maintain ongoing communication between culinary department and banquet team to manage schedule changes or challenges
  • compile event charges from banquet event orders and ensure correct billing and client signature
  • complete and distribute necessary paperwork such as Captain's Consumption Sheets and reports
  • ensure equipment is returned and event areas are cleaned post-function
  • assign duties to banquet staff and captains for events
  • verify staff attendance on banquet sign-in sheets and collect signatures
  • prepare event rooms fully before guest arrival
  • recap all banquet checks daily and submit to night audit
  • perform additional tasks as requested by supervisors or managers
