Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in banquet leadership
- Certification in alcohol awareness programs such as TIPS
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal liquor laws and regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage budgets and payroll effectively
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and move during events

Job Duties
- Lead the banquet team to be engaging and approachable
- Design concepts for theme parties and procure necessary props
- Serve as the master of all events by working closely with clients to ensure all needs are met
- Communicate client needs clearly to service personnel and managers
- Oversee the development of the annual banquet budget with property leadership
- Review monthly financial information explaining any variances
- Maintain labor and associated costs within budgeted parameters
- Manage payroll through review of staff schedules
- Provide continual support and guidance to the banquet team
- Ensure completion and return of beverage requisitions after events
- Oversee the completion of equipment checklists prior to events
- Ensure maintenance and proper care of serving equipment
- Assign stations and duties to servers during pre-meetings
- Ensure servers take appropriate breaks during events
- Adhere to and enforce appearance and service standards and procedures
- Know and follow county and state ordinances regarding noise and light
- Maintain positive communication with kitchen, service personnel and managers
- Supervise payroll of servers, captains and housemen
- Ensure adherence to all service standards and procedures
- Ensure appearance standards of banquet staff are met
