Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- at least 2 years of progressive hotel or related experience
- previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- ability to exert medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to listen, understand and resolve employee and guest concerns
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- maintain a friendly and courteous service-oriented manner
- attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- participate in management on duty coverage
- maintain regular attendance
- comply with dress code and grooming standards
- comply with company safety and operation regulations
- maintain confidentiality
- perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- high school diploma required
- previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- strong knowledge of service standards and different service types such as French and Russian
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel banquet operation
- supervise all banquet personnel
- respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- work with other food and beverage managers and keep them informed of food and beverage issues
- keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
- coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the banquet operation
- prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
