Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university or minimum of four years previous supervisory experience or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent motivational, communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Previous experience in Food and Beverage preferred
- Proficiency in basic mathematics including rates and percentages
- Excellent motivational, communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
Job Duties
- Supervising and managing banquet and catering staff
- Developing, implementing and managing operational goals
- Creating effective and efficient staff schedules while managing labor costs
- Assisting in the department budget process and monitoring compliance
- Promoting and demonstrating superior customer service
- Addressing client problems and special requests
- Ensuring proper operation and cleanliness of banquet and catering facilities
- Recording deposits, coordinating billing and credit approval
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising event functions
- Generating new and repeat business through marketing activities
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintaining confidentiality in all departmental matters
