Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to manage financial and administrative responsibilities
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication and organization skills
  • Willingness to work on-site at BWI Airport Marriott
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in customer service and conflict resolution

Job Duties

  • Direct and motivate banquet and event teams
  • Monitor financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Manage departmental inventories and banquet beverage perpetual inventory
  • Schedule banquet service staff according to service standards and profitability goals
  • Develop lasting relationships with groups to retain and grow business
  • Conduct monthly department meetings and lead shifts in event servicing
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints to ensure exceptional customer service
