Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor event environments
- Availability to work part-time, seasonal hours
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in banquet or event management
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a country club, hotel, or upscale event venue
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
- Proficiency in event management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule
Job Duties
- Oversee all banquet functions, including weddings, private parties, member events, and corporate gatherings
- Attend and contribute to Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to ensure clear understanding of event requirements
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and culinary team to coordinate menu execution, timing, and special requests
- Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all standards and expectations are met or exceeded
- Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support team members
- Act as the main point of contact during events, addressing client/member concerns and making real-time adjustments as needed
- Monitor event timelines to ensure prompt delivery of food, beverage, entertainment, and other services
