Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor event environments
  • Availability to work part-time, seasonal hours
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in banquet or event management

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a country club, hotel, or upscale event venue
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
  • Proficiency in event management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule

Job Duties

  • Oversee all banquet functions, including weddings, private parties, member events, and corporate gatherings
  • Attend and contribute to Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to ensure clear understanding of event requirements
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and culinary team to coordinate menu execution, timing, and special requests
  • Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all standards and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support team members
  • Act as the main point of contact during events, addressing client/member concerns and making real-time adjustments as needed
  • Monitor event timelines to ensure prompt delivery of food, beverage, entertainment, and other services
