Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
- ability to manage team and delegate tasks
- strong communication skills
- knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- capacity to handle guest feedback and complaints
- ability to control costs and manage inventories

- ability to lead and motivate staff
- proficiency in scheduling banquet service staff

Job Duties
- Project supply needs for banquet operations such as china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and props
- apply knowledge of laws relating to events
- manage banquet operations to maximize customer satisfaction
- adhere to and reinforce standards, policies, and procedures
- maintain sanitation levels
- manage departmental inventories and equipment
- control liquor costs using banquet beverage records and manage beverage inventory
- schedule banquet service staff to meet forecast and service standards
- assist team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth
- set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance
- conduct monthly department meetings
- broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and event trends
- act as liaison to kitchen staff
- lead shifts and participate in servicing events
- set positive example for guest relations
- interact with guests for feedback on product quality and service
- respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
- empower employees to provide excellent customer service
- ensure employees understand expectations and parameters
- strive to improve service performance
- emphasize guest satisfaction and focus on continuous improvement
- review comment cards and satisfaction results with employees
- communicate and execute emergency procedures and ensure staff safety training
- observe service behaviors and provide feedback
- monitor progress and lead staff discussions

- review Meeting Planner Survey results and address service challenges
- attend and participate in all pertinent meetings
