Job Requirements
- Prior banquet or event management experience required
- High school diploma or ged required
- Four-year degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a union environment preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Assist the director of banquets with the daily leadership and oversight of banquet operations
- Lead, train, and supervise banquet associates to ensure consistent service standards
- Ensure the highest quality of food, beverage, and service delivery for all banquet events
- Coordinate banquet service needs with culinary and stewarding teams
- Maintain effective communication between banquets, culinary, sales, events, and operations
- Ensure events are executed according to beos, timelines, and guest expectations
- Support compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and applicable union contract guidelines
- Maintain accurate banquet records, including banquet checks and event documentation
- Ensure adequate inventory of banquet service equipment and supplies
- Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation standards within banquet spaces
- Conduct departmental meetings and attend f&b, beo, safety, and department head meetings
- Assist with scheduling, payroll oversight, and labor management
- Address guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and promptly
- Represent the pfister hotel with professionalism and leadership presence
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
