Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of banquet event operations and compliance with relevant laws
  • Ability to manage financial and administrative duties
  • Commitment to maintaining high sanitation and service standards

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of event operations and hospitality industry standards
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Experience with inventory management and scheduling

Job Duties

  • Directs and motivates team to provide high quality service
  • Monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Provides clear and concise communication to all event stakeholders
  • Identifies training opportunities and plans strategies to accomplish goals
  • Manages banquet operations including inventory, scheduling, and sanitation levels
  • Leads banquet teams by setting goals, delegating tasks, and conducting meetings
  • Partners with kitchen and event technology teams to ensure event success
  • Attends pre-event meetings and inspects function rooms to verify event requirements
  • Responds to guest feedback and handles complaints to improve service
  • Conducts human resources activities including employee performance appraisals and safety training
  • Ensures compliance with policies and leads continuous improvement initiatives
