Job Requirements
- High school diploma is required
- associates degree is preferred
- minimum three years progressive related experience required
- previous supervisory experience over similar-sized banquet operation preferred
- previous food and beverage experience helpful
- must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Manage, oversee and monitor banquet operations
- coordinate banquet captains, supervisors and servers for superior coverage of each event
- attend and participate in daily BEO meetings
- coordinate the set-up of each function verifying desired services and menu in advance
- conduct function review with guests prior to events, adjust specifications as necessary
- synchronize timing of banquet activities with kitchen management
- manage food and beverage service during banquets ensuring quality
- complete purchase orders and maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies
- monitor meeting room usage and suggest changes to minimize overhead and maximize revenues
- inspect meeting spaces to ensure cleanliness and good repair
- supervise and coordinate banquet associates to ensure guest satisfaction
- review, adjust and approve associate schedules
- provide orientation and training for associates
- supervise set-up staff and inspect banquet space prior to events
- communicate performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback
- lead monthly departmental staff meetings
- develop and implement strategies supporting associate engagement
- manage the recruitment process
- provide coaching and counseling to associates
- communicate and reinforce vision for exceptional service
- ensure associates provide genuine hospitality and foster teamwork
- seek guest feedback and develop improvement strategies
- maintain communications with hotel departments
- ensure adherence to function space policies and regulations
- maintain up-to-date information on programs and events
- follow Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the Biltmore SOPs.
