Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in banquet or event setting preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of basic event setup and breakdown practices preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects following safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team
  • Strong attention to detail in event setup and cleanliness
  • Ability to follow directions and execute tasks with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Assist in setting up banquet spaces including arranging tables chairs linens glassware and event-specific items
  • Ensure all equipment and furniture are arranged timely adhering to client and event specifications
  • Break down and clean banquet spaces after events returning furniture and equipment to storage and ensuring spaces are tidy
  • Assist with inventory and organization of banquet equipment ensuring items are in good condition and ready for use
  • Deliver and retrieve chairs tables podiums AV equipment and other event supplies from storage
  • Assist banquet team during events by setting up food and beverage stations providing additional equipment and assisting guest requests
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment ensuring clear pathways and proper disposal of trash
  • Communicate effectively with banquet staff addressing needs and requests promptly
  • Ensure banquet areas back-of-house and service stations are clean and organized
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping dusting and trash removal
  • Ensure restroom facilities near banquet areas are clean and stocked
  • Follow health and safety standards including proper lifting techniques and safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations proper handling and disposal of waste
  • Report safety hazards broken equipment or facility issues to supervisor
