Job Requirements

  • No high school diploma required
  • One month related hospitality experience and/or training
  • Developed language skills to read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, and memos
  • Speak clearly, distinctly and with confidence
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
  • Developed reasoning skills to apply common sense and understand instructions in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to professionally deal with problems in standardized situations
  • Must have valid New Hampshire driver's license with favorable driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, background check and driver record check
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and frequently carry or transport items weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to withstand walking, sitting, standing, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and smelling
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions including temperature extremes and noise
  • Non-slip shoes recommended

Job Duties

  • Maintain high standards of food, beverage and guest service quality
  • Greet and seat guests
  • Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and service
  • Maintain clean break and buffet tables during function
  • Relay orders to kitchen
  • Carry food trays from kitchen and return used china, silverware and glassware to the kitchen
  • Fulfill guest requests and appropriately perceive when meal has been completed
  • Clear and reset tables
  • Maintain a clean work and storage area
  • Assist in set-up, cleaning and refreshing of function rooms
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people
  • Complete all side work as assigned
  • Attend team/department meetings
  • Complete projects as determined by Banquet Management
  • Actively seek out other tasks when current work is complete
  • Participate in ongoing education and training
  • Other duties as assigned
