Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience working banquets is a plus
  • Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations as well as etiquette
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and other special events
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat and professional appearance
  • Frequently wash hands for proper food handling
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
  • Able to lift to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous experience working banquets is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations, and etiquette
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and floorplans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds with assistance

Job Duties

  • Maintain buffet and food stations, run trays of food to and from the kitchen, assist servers by removing full trays of used plates, flatware, glassware to the kitchen dish washing area
  • Follow banquet event orders and room floorplan diagrams
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas
  • Return equipment to proper location, clean and in good working order
  • Notify supervisor of equipment needing repair or replacement
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet inventory and supplies such as linens, chairs, dishes, glassware, flatware, and decorations
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, storage areas, and public space
  • Assist other departments to ensure optimum service
  • Communicate with Banquet Captain and Management for seamless event operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
