Job Requirements
- minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- one year minimum in concessions or hotel catering experience
- understanding of sales techniques and yield management
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- capable of problem-solving and making sound business decisions
- detail oriented
- physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry items up to 50 pounds occasionally
- able to bend, kneel, stand continuously for up to four hours
- ability to climb stairs
- must be able to respond effectively to coaching and training
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- execute all aspects of events at Heinz Hall including food and beverage catering needs
- manage banquet service operations to achieve customer satisfaction and compliance with policies
- plan long and short term banquet operations and day-to-day activities
- recommend and implement policy and procedural changes
- monitor and manage the banquet department budget within constraints
- analyze banquet event orders and coordinate with customers and associates
- organize workflow and review schedules, equipment and supplies to ensure quality events
- supervise human resources functions including hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews
- resolve operational problems and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations
- monitor and control banquet budgets including labor, beverage costs and supplies
- set priorities and plan activities in advance
- maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
