Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one to two years related hospitality experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • developed language skills
  • strong mathematical and reasoning abilities
  • must have a valid NH driver’s license and favorable driving record
  • ability to travel to and from function sites
  • pass pre-employment drug test, background check and driver record check
  • ability to perform physical tasks including walking, sitting, standing, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and smelling
  • able to lift up to 100 lbs, frequently carry or transport items up to 75 lbs
  • able to work under varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors
  • wear non-slip shoes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • one to two years related hospitality experience
  • developed language skills to read, analyze and interpret business documents and reports
  • ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • effective presentation and communication skills
  • mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets
  • ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • developed reasoning skills to identify problems and provide solutions
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to work well with diverse groups
  • leadership capability to inspire and manage staff

Job Duties

  • Act as manager on duty when scheduled
  • maintain standards of food, beverage and guest service quality
  • always provide professional and courteous guest service
  • lead the training of banquet staff
  • tend to guests' requests, questions, and complaints
  • serve as the point of contact for associates during an event
  • communicate with staff and execute all details of Banquet Event Orders
  • collaborate with kitchen to ensure client’s event vision is met
  • assist team in setting up banquet and conference space including audio visual equipment, food, beverage and displays
  • facilitate communication with all departments regarding food counts, timing and set-up arrangements
  • assist in controlling food, beverage and labor costs
  • monitor service and satisfaction trends and make improvements
  • ensure all safety regulations are communicated and adhered to
  • develop and maintain positive relationships with team members, clients, co-workers and vendors
  • assist with audio/video services
  • ensure banquet equipment is maintained, operational and clean
  • work well with a diverse group of people
  • complete projects as determined by Food and Beverage Manager
  • participate in ongoing education and training
  • attend team and department meetings
  • perform other duties as assigned
