Job Requirements
- two years of cooking experience in a banquet facility preferred
Job Qualifications
- good working knowledge of fundamentals of cooking
- good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
- knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
Job Duties
- prepares all items needed on a daily basis to ensure efficient and orderly menu maintenance
- prepares all menu items according to standard recipes and guest check specifications to ensure product consistency
- visually inspects and selects highest standard food items for menu preparation
- checks and controls proper storage of product and portion control for quality maintenance
- keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage and working areas clean and in working condition to comply with health regulations
- performs general cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
- performs other duties such as moving supplies and cleaning up spills to ensure a safe working environment
