Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit
- Washington State Food Handler Permit obtained within 14 days of start
- Hepatitis A and B vaccination required
- availability to work nights weekends and holidays
- employment contingent upon favorable background investigation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one-year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- experience with high volume cooking preferred
- computer literacy including Microsoft programs
- problem-solving skills under pressure
- ability to work with mathematical concepts related to food
- effective communication skills verbal and written
- ability to maintain effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
- perform various cooking methods
- follow recipes and control procedures
- prepare or display food to specifications
- assist Sous Chef in specialty dishes preparation
- rotate food products daily
- follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- perform quality control checks
- review kitchen operations for improvements
- perform additional tasks as assigned
- adapt to changes in work hours
- participate in internal review hearings if required
