Job Requirements
- ability to stand for extended periods lift up to 50 pounds and work in a high-paced kitchen environment
- flexible schedule including availability on evenings weekends and holidays based on banquet and catering demands

- ability to follow recipes and presentation guidelines accurately
- good communication skills for effective teamwork
- adaptability and flexibility in responding to the demands of banquet and catering events
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen banquet or catering environment is preferred
- knowledge of culinary techniques for hot and cold food preparation including basic baking and pastry skills
- understanding of food safety sanitation and hygiene standards with an emphasis on HACCP guidelines
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Job Duties
- prepare and cook a wide range of menu items including hot entrees cold dishes appetizers canapés and desserts according to banquet and café menus
- assist in preparing items for off-site catering events ensuring food is well-cooked and ready for transportation
- follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and appearance
- handle special dietary requests and modify recipes as necessary under the guidance of the banquet chef and chef de partie
- set up and organize assigned stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients ensuring readiness for service
- maintain a clean organized and safe work area during food preparation and service
- clean and sanitize equipment utensils and surfaces throughout the shift following food safety standards
