Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 2+ years working in kitchens or equivalent on the job training (3+ years)
  • ability to work all kitchen stations
  • ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to work independently
  • professional appearance and conduct
  • willingness to comply with hotel’s drug-free workplace policy
  • ability to respond properly in emergencies

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • minimum 2 years working in kitchens or equivalent on the job training (3+ years)
  • knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as sauté, braise, poach, grill, fry, steam
  • ability to work all stations in any given outlet
  • ability to fabricate all proteins needed for service
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to train and lead staff through service
  • professional demeanor
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Control quality and consistency of all food served
  • insure that station or relevant prep list is set in a timely manner
  • insure all supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply before service
  • assist in controlling waste and cross utilizing
  • demonstrate knowledge of all food items produced by an assigned station
  • handle and store food properly and safely
  • produce all orders consistently, quickly, and in accordance with established quality standards
